pick progress is an initiative by aiga kc to put more of a spotlight on black creatives. 30 creatives were chosen from all around the world to create a poster based on black empowerment phrases, and using a specific colour as the dominant colour.

the phrase i received was ‘melanin abundant’, and the colour i received was blue (#0070b8).

i wanted my poster to feature black characters to emphasise how unique and beautiful melaninated skin is, particularly darker skin. i also tried a new style, and was really happy with how it turned out.
